Myopia
Myopia or nearsightedness is mostly due to an anatomically larger eye. The rays of light bend abnormally as they enter the eye and focus in front of the retina. From a visual standpoint, you will see near objects clear but distant objects blurry. To remedy this, the Optometrists prescribe a lens that bends the light towards the retina making it come into a pinpoint focus at the macula.
