Dan Acosta, L.D.O. B.C. Opt. is Florida Licensed and Florida Board of Opticianry certified in the fitting and adaptation of contact lenses. His practice concentrates on Medical Contact Lenses and Low-Vision Optics.  Dan received his academic and clinical training at the University of la Salle and the University of Houston, as well as his contact lens training at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.  Daniel Acosta, L.D.O. is also credentialed in low vision dispensing, helping people with subnormal vision see better at distance and near with low vision devices.

 

In his 20-plus years of experience as a contact lens specialist, he has practiced alongside Ophthalmologists and Orthoptists, giving him hands-on experience caring for probably thousands of patients. Robert Mandelkorn, M.D., received his Medical degree from the UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE. He has completed one residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital and another in Ophthalmology at the Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Mandelkorn received his Ophthalmology Fellowship at OCHSNER HOSPITAL in New Orleans, Louisiana.

 We wish Professor John E. Swift, M.D., a well-deserved retirement. John Swift, M.D. saw our patients who required ophthalmological services at our Fort Myers location; John was also a Bascolm Palmer Eye Institute-University of Miami Medical School  Professor.
